I can't remember exactly, but it seems like this was maybe the greatest June Angela dance sequence in my memory, if I remember correctly. Would be great to see the original video, although it's still great to just hear the audio.

Thank you for posting this. This was one of my favorites of the Short Circus. Back then one would never admit this. I guess my peers were playing pinball with my heart.

The funny thing is, at this age, are kids really going to be able to understand what the words are about? (Hey, I'm 39, and I just listened to this for the first time since I was about 9 or 10, and I finally understand what the words are refering to. I never looked at it like.....shall I say.... a "G-Rated" love song. I never had any clue when I was 4 or 5 or 6 years old watching this what they were singing about.)

@ebf1957 They better not touch this song. I could see some really good gospel singers and a live band with a 70's theme doing this song. That would own all!

Was there an actual pinball machine that had those sound effects? God bless!

When I was in second grade. we were watching this, and we had a fire drill during while this is playing. When the refrain starts the three blasts sounded exactly like the fire alarm. She was confused, it was funny, she figured it out.

32 years later I still have the urge to jump around and get hyper like I did every time this song would appear on that show. This song is in my playlist. |
